First Belly Pic

This was taken last week (16 weeks). i decided since im starting to show that i will start taking pictures every couple weeks.

Im starting to feel alot better, and i can actually function now. I have my next doctors appointment on Friday. Im hoping my doctor will do another ultrasound this time so we can find out the sex of the baby, but i think he's not going to do one until next month's appointment. that means i will be almost 22 weeks if he makes me that long.. ugh..
Ive been having alot of people ask me if i want a girl or boy.. and honestly, i would be happy with either..
I would like to have a boy because i know Zach really wants a boy, and this might be our last baby. But then again i would like to have another girl because i think Erica would do better with a sister.

So... which is it????? :-)

2 years and counting....

On February 16th, it was Zach's and mines 2nd anniversary. We decided to go stay in vegas for a couple nights so we can just spend some "us" time, which we dont get to do that much because he works so much and i dont see him the first half of the week because i work too. Erica got sick with a cold a few days before and i was really worried about leaving her still feeling a little stuffy, but i knew our moms would take good care of her. We had a blast the first night. We went to "Anthony Cools" which is a hypnotist at the Paris. Zach decided to go up on stage and try and get hypnotized, i honestly didnt think he would be able to get hypnotized because he's the type of person that wouldnt really believe in that stuff, but he actually did! i dont think i have laughed that hard in SOOO long. He made all the people do some pretty vulgar stuff (ex: audition for a porno) They tape the whole show, so i was able to buy the DVD so i could blackmail Zach if i ever wanted something ;-) Im real excited to watch it, (zach still hasnt seen what he did).
After that, we decided to rest a little in our room because we started feeling so sick (thanks Erica :) )
Heres a few pictures.
They were all taken with Zach's phone (i forgot my camera!)
Oh and dont mind how HORRIBLE i looked.. i really didnt feel good or felt like putting make up on :)

The first thing we did when we got there was go eat at Wienerschnitzel, i have been craving it sooo bad and they closed the one here in st.george :(

This was us on top of the Eiffel Tower at the Paris...

We went to the Coke Factory and tried all the different kinds of Coke from around the world

We went to the cheesecake factory too :)

Overall, it was nice to get a way for a couple days and just relax. I love spending time with my hubby. It reminds me just why i fell in love with him. He always makes me laugh and always makes me happy.
Happy Anniversary Zach... here's to at LEAST 60 more :-)

Ive been neglecting.. i know

Its been forever since i have posted.. Its been a rough few weeks for me. This pregnancy has made me to never want anymore kids. I have finally got my blood pressure back down to normal, but after all the worrying about my blood pressure, i started bleeding. I was 13 weeks when that happened. I went straight to my doctors and he did an ultrasound. It turned out that the blood was from my placenta going into place. Im finally to the point in my pregnancy where i can actually keep some food in my stomach and im not so exhausted. We will be finding out what were going to be having by the end of March. So now, i am 16 weeks :-)

Erica is such an amazing little girl. She's getting excited that she's going to be a big sister. and evertime she comes around to climb on me she says "careful mama's tummy" She knows that she cant jump all over me like she used to.

My dad has been in the hospital for almost a week. He had an aortic anerism that they had to go in and repair before it ruptured. He made it through the surgery ok, but afterwards he had lots of trouble. He wasnt able to come off the ventilator ok because of his bad lungs. Its just been a miserable week for him. He is now back at home and is trying to make it one day at a time.

Zach has been wonderful. I am so glad that we have made it through the hard times and never forgot how much we love each other. He is my other half and i am so blessed to call him my husband. I havent gotten any recent pictures of us together because i havent been in the mood to look decent and take pictures. Our 2 year anniversary is on tuesday and we're going to vegas for a couple nights, just me and him. I will be sure to take some pictures. I cant wait to get to spend some alone time with him. :-)

11 weeks, and Dr appointment update

This last couple of weeks have been the worst. Ive been more sicker, blood pressure has gotten really high, and i dont ever want to do anything but lay in bed. I finally ended up calling my doctor to tell him about my blood pressure, they put me on a low dose of medication to calm it down. Well, today we went to the my monthly appointment and unfortuantly, the medication hasnt been working, so he is uping my dose and hopefully that will help. Ive lost a total of 14 lbs, which im totally fine with, but the way im losing it sucks! i still have a VERY hard time keeping anything down, even water. Dr. Astle said that the nausea should be going away in 4 weeks. Also at the Dr appointment today, we heard the heartbeat! he said it "sounds marvelous" It was so good to finally hear that little ones heart beating, it made me feel like there really is a reason im so sick all the time. Zach said that hearing the heartbeat it finally hit him that were going to have another baby. I told him its been hitting me for the last 6 weeks. :-)
I havent put up my cartoon up for this week so here it is.

10 Weeks... double digits!!

Well things are still the same.. im sick all the time.. and sooooo tired. My body feels like its been ran over by a bus. My blood pressure gets way out of control sometimes, especially if i get up and do things, im afraid im going to have to get on some kind of medication for it. I cant wait until i get my energy back.

Week 10: Graduation Day has arrived!

Fetal development in pregnancy week 10:fetus in third month

Your astonishingly tiny baby has been hard at work growing as fast as possible—almost doubling in size in the past three weeks! Amazingly, you’re in for a repeat size doubling performance within the next three weeks! Your tiny champion still weighs less than a quarter of an ounce but has already completed the most critical stage of their development. Using Doppler technology, your doctor or gynecologist can let you hear their tiny rapid fetal heartbeats this week (145-165 beats per minute!). Chances for miscarriage are greatly reduced when the heartbeat can be detected, so take a sigh of relief if you’ve been needing one—it hasn’t been an easy ten weeks! What’s more, they’re getting ready to make their first baby poop! Your little one’s major organ systems are developing, including a functioning digestive tract capable of moving food all the way through their bowels. The final shiny gold star on their fetal behavior chart for the week: your little scrapper has already developed defense mechanisms to protect them on reflex!

And how's mom doing? More good news for mom: the placenta has grown substantially in size and function and is now beginning to manage some of your child’s hormones, finally taking some of the hormonal burden off of you! Since the placenta has gradually taken over the hormone production for your baby, you should finally pregnancy is not a standardized procedure so much as an individual journey start to notice that much-awaited decrease in morning sickness symptoms. Like everything else, though, this is just a general guideline... if you have lingering effects for another couple of weeks, don’t fret (or fret, but don't blame us)—pregnancy is not a standardized procedure so much as an individual journey

2010.... a new year!

For new years we stayed in Mesquite for the night. It was so crowded and you could hardly find a place to sit and gamble. But it was fun. My mom got so drunk, as you can tell in the picture below. But it was fun for the most part, Im just glad i didnt get really sick. Maybe the casino kept my mind off of feeling so sick. Zach played bingo for the first time. I really like Bingo, but my mom and Zach didnt really like it.
I hope 2010 is a better year than 2009!
Happy new year everyone!

9 Weeks

Im still feeling the same, very nauseous, extremely tired, and very very weak and lightheaded. Just a few more weeks and the first trimester will be over. Hopefully i will start to feel better by then.

Week 9: An inch to grow on

Fetal development in pregnancy week 9:

Congratulations! Your amazing growing baby has been accepted into to the fetus-club, a very exclusive and exiting new stage in their prenatal development. Basically, this means the little sweet pea has graduated from swimming embryo creature to a recognizable human being! This week in particular, the irises of their little eyes can function, but (frustratingly for them?) their eyelids remain fused shut for a while yet. Their external ears are formed and their inner ears are now filled with fluid—so your little one is already developing their sense of balance. Your baby's little swimmer legs are still relatively, although other bodily developments are going forward at a nice pace: their kidney is actually functioning now, which means they’ve started urinating (this might seem charming now but wait till you have to start buying diapers!).

And how's mom doing? You’re nearing the end of the first trimester and while there are plenty of dynamic and noticeable changes going on inside of you, not many changes are noticeable to you, with the exception of a mildly bulging midline-- which doesn't look pregnant enough to stop people from wondering if you need to Having a baby is the ultimate test for your body—if you take care of your health now you’ll come out of the pregnancy on top of your health and ready to be an energetic mother lay off the donuts. Although your body might seem a little boring right now, you can expect the creeping-up-effect of weight gain as you will gain roughly 1-2 lbs gain per week (some more and some less). It’s not a bad idea to chart this to make sure you’re not over or underfeeding both of you. As you’ve entered into the Fetal Period, it might be a good time to evaluate your personal health regimen—that is, if you haven’t already. Are you eating enough protein? Remember, protein can be found in beans, soy products and nuts—it doesn’t have to be a 12 ounce sirloin! Are you sleeping well, exercising right, drinking enough (non-sugary) fluids and getting your vitamin C? Having a baby is the ultimate test for your body—if you take care of your health now you’ll come out of the pregnancy on top of your health and ready to be an energetic mother, if not, well, let’s just say, you’re increasing the chances of suffering from depression, osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, and a multitude of little nasty viruses (think colds and flues) that good health could've beat before you even noticed they’d invaded.
